Give your students the personal, tactile and inherently social experiences of creating apps for handheld computers using MIT App Inventor, a blocks language for building apps. Participants learn learn hands-on how to create and publish their unique apps using App Inventor's online environment. 

Stephen Zanotti is a Professional Development Affiliate for Code.org and an Instructional Technology Facilitator teaching in Southern California. He is on the Board of CUE's Los Angeles Affiliate and the former Chair of ISTE's 1to1 PLN. Stephen supported the professional growth needs of administrators and teachers within the LA Schools during the three years of its 1to1 computer initiative. With 20 years in classrooms from K to 12  in the areas of educational technology, computer, life, and physical sciences, Stephen is always looking for opportunities to share and learn ideas and experiences.
